How to listen to radio2XS on iPhones
Perhaps the easiest way, and it doesn't need an App installed, is via Moodio. So far, we have tested: 'FStream', 'Radio StreamItAll', 'Tunemark' and the iPhones 'Safari/Quicktime'. FStream was our original choice however we found it caused Quicktime to crash and not work over cell. So if you have ever used FStream we suggest deleting it then Reset Settings. To do this go to Settings, General, Network, Cellular Data Network and the reset is at the bottom.First Option is using Quicktime & Safari. For this option click here.
Option two is to use 'Tunemark'. Its free from the App Store, plays the high quality aac+ stream, works flawlessly on wifi & cellular and displays song info. Instructions below. It also has a buffer so you can press pause or rewind meaning in areas of low reception there should be less dropping out!
Option three is Radio StreamItAll which also works on WiFi and Cellular but doesnt decode the aac stream as aac+ so the quality is poor. This app also doesnt show what is playing until the upgrade is purchased.
So, to summarise, give FStream a miss. Try the Safari link and Tunemark a go then StreamItAll if they dont work for you.
Below are screen shots of how to get us working on both. We have used the aac+ stream which is http://radio2XS.com/radio2XS.m3u but our lo-fi stream may be more stable during bad reception: http://radio2XS.com/radio2XSlo.m3u. Tested on iPhone 3GS with o2 UK network provider.
